HELP Equipment Planning Expands Integrated Technology Services
Company Acquires Equity Stake in Technology Partner
Plano, Texas - March 25, 2008 - HELP Equipment Planning, a leading provider of medical equipment project management services for healthcare development projects, announced today that it has acquired an equity position in Healthcare Integrated Technologies (HIT).
“In today’s complex healthcare environment it is imperative that early in the planning and development of facilities a great deal of attention be given to the integration of all facility systems and major medical equipment,” said Larry Hampton, CEO of HELP Equipment Planning. “The demands on facilities to provide better medical safety, have access to information, keep it secure and have technology that delivers more efficient patient care is critical to the operational success of new facilities.”
The Integrated Technology services and products provided through HELP by HIT include PACS, telemetry, integrated health information systems, ER systems and Electronic Medical Records, along with a wide range of low-voltage systems.
“Integrated Technology in healthcare means everything from how a sterilizer is installed and serviced, to the networking of computers, the functioning of nurse call systems and the reliability of nurse call systems. Integrated Technology touches virtually every aspect of your facility,” stated John Clark, President of HIT.
All of these services are available either as part of the HELP services or on a stand-alone basis. For a complete list of Integrated Technology services delivered by HELP Equipment Planning, and its technology partner, HIT, see our Services page: www.helpequipmentplanning.com/services_integrated.html.

In July 1989, HELP opened an Eastern Regional office in Florida to better serve our growing east coast clientele. HELP Equipment Planning currently has a staff of 30 experienced medical equipment planners, project managers, and related support personnel. During HELP’s 25 years, the firm has been involved in over 1200 projects. International experience includes completed projects in Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan, the U.K. and Belgium. Diversification into the related fields of installation services, capital equipment appraisal, integrated technologies, budgeting, and other fields, has made HELP Equipment Planning one of the largest, independent, medical equipment-consulting firms in the United States.
For twenty five years HELP has strived to serve our client’s needs for specialized healthcare services and to meet the challenges and demands of the profession. We are proud of our success over the past twenty five years and want to thank the all our clients, friends, associates and vendors for the support you have shown HELP Equipment Planning over the years. HELP Equipment Planning wins Ethics Award
In April 2001, HELP Equipment Planning received notification that HELP was a finalist in the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award (GDBEA) competition. An awards luncheon was held on May 3, 2001, to announce the winners. We are pleased to announce that HELP Equipment Planning received the award for the small business category (250 employees or fewer).
Sharon Setzler and Shirley Lowe attended the luncheon and accepted the award on behalf of HELP Equipment Planning. The winners of the Dallas competition are automatically entered into the national competition.
In the selection of HELP Equipment Planning, the Financial Service Professionals Judging Committee Members specifically mentioned the following traits that lead them to select HELP:
- HELP Equipment Planning is entrusted with their client's money in the purchase of millions of dollars of equipment each year.
- The many thank you letters from HELP's vendors and clients.
- HELP's "Commitment to My Co-Workers" impressed the committee and they quoted the last line from that document. "I will remember that neither of us is perfect, and that human errors are opportunities, not for shame or guilt, but for forgiveness and growth."
HELP Equipment Planning shared the winning stage with such illustrious organizations as:
- EDS (Electronic Data Systems) - Large Company Category (more than 2,500)
- Atmos Energy Corporation - Mid-sized Company (250 to 2,500)
The Society of Financial Service Professionals established the American Business Ethics Award to honor companies that demonstrate a firm commitment to ethical business practices in everyday operations, management philosophies and responses to crises or challenges.
The Dallas Chapter of the Society decided to participate on the national program and created the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award (GDBEA), to recognize companies that uphold high standards of business ethics in the Greater Dallas Area.
We would like to thank all of our client's, vendors, associates, friends, and employees for providing us with a business atmosphere and conditions that allow us to thrive and at the same time maintain a high standard of ethics and professionalism.
In the almost 25 years since founding HELP Equipment Planning, we cannot think of any individual event that is more satisfying or rewarding than this honor that has been bestowed on us. Thanks to all that had a part in HELP achieving this goal.
