Founder's Corner
In January 1983, Larry Hampton founded Health Equipment Logistics and Planning, which became known by its acronym, HELP. As is often the case when starting a business, HELP was founded out of need and passion: a personal need to put food on the table and the industry’s need for quality equipment consulting services. The passion was Larry’s, to use his previous 15 years healthcare experience and build the best equipment planning firm in the industry.
Rodney Cadwell joined HELP as a principal soon after the company’s launch. Rodney worked with Larry as a client and then a project manager at a major hospital management company and shared the passion to be the best. Together they developed the world’s oldest medical equipment planning company operating under the same continuous ownership. HELP is internationally recognized as one of the largest, oldest, and best firms of its type with a record of setting and maintaining the highest quality control of its deliverable products. In addition, HELP has won an independent industry award for business ethics.
Larry has been a speaker on the subject of “Ethics in Consulting” at The Cox Graduate School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Both Larry and Rodney are Fellows in the Health Facilities Institute and have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge across the broad spectrum of health facilities design, development, and maintenance. Larry and Rodney serve as mentors to HELP’s multiple project management teams.
Larry and Rodney are both active project managers, which allow them to keep abreast of all the current technology, issues, regulations, and codes to better assist their staff and clients. They are always directly accessible by all HELP clients to insure the highest level of quality and client satisfaction.
