Relationship Driven - Technology Focused

History

Founded in 1983 (by our CEO, Larry Hampton), Plano, Texas-based Health Equipment Logistics & Planning, Inc., d.b.a. HELP Equipment Planning, has grown into one of the largest independent healthcare equipment project management firms in the country. Rodney Cadwell, HELP’s president and co-founder, operates out of our Florida office. With over 70 years of combined equipment planning experience between them, Mr. Hampton and Mr. Cadwell are the cornerstone on which HELP has been built, and it is their unmatched knowledge, expertise, and leadership in the healthcare equipment project management field that has made HELP the industry leader it is today.

"My forty plus years of experience in equipping healthcare facilities worldwide, first as a vendor, then as an owner, and now as an independent consultant, has given me unique qualifications that enable my firm to serve as a true owner's representative and advocate," states Mr. Hampton, HELP's CEO. "I take pride in the fact that our involvement brings both quality and value to the design and construction process. HELP has truly defined the discipline of equipment planning and equipment project management."

Adds Mr. Cadwell, HELP’s President, "Early in my career, I was operationally responsible for all owner furnished equipment and associated pre-opening activities for two new general acute care hospitals. As a result, I am very much aware of how seemingly small details impact the success of this process. Opening a new facility, regardless of size, is a challenge. Our approach to project management has always been from the owner's perspective: that is, on time, in budget, and with no surprises."

In early 2008, HELP added senior staff with the advanced knowledge of healthcare technology, applications, and low-voltage systems. With this addition HELP increased its service offering to include the planning, budgeting, procurement, and project management of these increasingly complex, yet extremely necessary, systems. Complete integration of technology and equipment systems is the fastest growing aspect of the equipment planning industry.

Today, HELP Equipment Planning has a large staff of experienced planners and support staff. We presently complete more than 50 healthcare projects a year and are continuing to grow. With a corporate office in Plano, Texas, our Eastern Regional office in Clearwater, Florida, to serve our east coast clientele, we continue to build our infrastructure and planning services to meet the increasing demands of the healthcare community.
